Responsibility:
Review contract and PO payment terms against vendor and contractor invoices.
Charges expenses to accounts and cost centers by analyzing invoice/expense reports; recording entries.
Pays vendors by monitoring discount opportunities; verifying federal id numbers; scheduling and preparing checks;
Maintains accounting ledgers by verifying and posting account transactions.
Verifies vendor accounts by reconciling monthly statements and related transactions.
Maintains historical records by microfilming and filing documents.
Reports sales taxes by calculating requirements on paid invoices.
Qualifications:
Tracking Budget Expenses, Attention to Detail, Thoroughness, Organization, Analyzing Information , Accounting, Vendor Relationships, PC Proficiency, Data Entry Skills, Strong, but, General Math Skills
Periodically reviews existing contracts to ensure the contract rights & obligations are being properly administered.
Education, Experience:
Minimum: Associates Degree in a business, engineering, or related discipline, & the knowledge / capabilities typically acquired through 5-plus years of job-relevant experience, inclusive of invoice processing, accounts payables, contract administration, along with strong software applications experience. e.g. Microsoft Office, graphics, SAP, Maximo, etc). SAP experience would be a plus.
