Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Office Manager/ Bookeeper to join our team in STERLING HEIGHTS, MI. As the Office Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our office, managing administrative tasks, and providing support to our team. This is a key role that requires excellent organizational skills, strong communication abilities, and the ability to multitask effectively. Experienced with payroll, bank reconcilliation, general ledgers, AP/ AR
Responsibilities:
- Manage the front desk and greet visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls and direct them to the appropriate staff members
- Coordinate and schedule meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements for team members
- Maintain office supplies inventory and place orders as needed
- Oversee vendor management, including negotiating contracts and ensuring timely payment of invoices
- Assist with human resources tasks such as onboarding new employees, managing employee records, and coordinating performance reviews
- Provide administrative support to various departments as needed
- Develop and implement office policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations
- Assist with training and development initiatives for staff members
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in an office management or administrative role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
- Excellent phone etiquette and communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Experience with scheduling management software is a plus
- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Previous experience in team management is preferred
