Home Health & Hospice is Hiring a Director of Business Development Near Los Angeles, CA

Are you looking for your new career? Our Home Health and Hospice team is now hiring a Director of Business Development (DBD) to be the newest member of our awesome team! This position will service Los Angeles County.

Base salary range: starting at $85k and up.

If yes, how you will contribute to the team:

As the Director of Business Development, you will plan, develop, organize, implement, evaluate, and direct the program's marketing and public relations programs and activities in order to maintain and increase census. You will provide the community with information relative to our programs, services, practices, promote the services to outside sources such as physicians, discharge planners, business members of the community, churches and schools providing adult education.

Our Business Development Directors maintain a thorough knowledge of program's admission requirements, services, and admissions policies and procedures. You will work with the admission team for members of the community as well as families, conducts pre-admission interviews with prospective patients and their families and explains all services of the program.

Must haves:

  • Thorough knowledge of principles of effective communication, mass media, advertising, community relations, etc., as they relate to home health and hospice operations
  • Ability to make calls, and to organize and deliver public presentations
  • Ability to establish, implement and maintain effective outreach and public relations program
  • Thorough understanding of healthcare reimbursement programs
  • Must be knowledgeable of nursing practices, procedures, terminology, laws, regulations, and guidelines that pertain to home health and hospice

Nice to have:

  • 2-4 years’ experience in public relations in health care, home health, or hospice with previous supervisory experience
  • Bachelor’s degree from accredited college with specialization in marketing, communications or equivalent

Compensation for roles varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the location, role, skill set and level of experience. As required by state or local law, we provide a reasonable pay scale to include the hourly or salary range that we reasonably expect to pay for roles, as stated above.
