Job Description
Reports to: Director Client Services
Department Goals:
This position exists to ensure proper processes and business needs of an assigned group of clients are being followed and addressed proactively and efficiently. This position involves working in close collaboration with operational teams across the organization to ensure that we provide an excellent service and customer experience to our clients.
Job Description/ Account Management:
Some of the main daily duties and responsibilities are, but not limited to:
- Main point of contact between strategic clients and Global Excel
- Participate in strategic initiatives/projects with the sales person
- Client problem resolution: Claim related (balance billing, request claims, member receiving statements, etc.)
- Client request: provider referral, PPO participation, international provider referral.
- Make recommendations and steer clients to in best in network facility
- Review batches for: Accuracy, benefits applied correctly, highest possible discounts, proper documentation
- Run weekly and monthly claims report. Analyze trends and discuss results with client and upper management to determine if internal changes are required.
- Review Negotiations log: Follow up on claims sent to negotiations for prompt return.
- Follow up with client on payment status of claims based on one or more of the following: large dollar amount claims outstanding for long periods, VIP members, GEM-provider relationship, negotiation, etc.
- Request advance payments when necessary to meet payment deadline and avoid loss of discount. Get approval from client for payments in advance.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent - College level preferred
- 7 years of experience in related field (healthcare)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish)
- Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and influence credibly and effectively at all levels of the organization, including executive and C-level
- Experience in delivering client-focused solutions based on customer needs, strategies & new products
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects at a time while paying strict attention to detail Excellent listening, negotiation and presentation skills
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills
