Job Overview: We are seeking a Senior Business Analyst with a strong background in finance and accounting to support a transition from Navision to Business Central. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in analyzing business processes, gathering requirements, and facilitating the upgrade process. Experience in supply chain and warehouse management is highly desirable. Proficiency in Visio for process mapping and the ability to write detailed use cases are essential. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to bridge the gap between technology and business users.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business objectives and requirements for the Navision to Business Central upgrade.
- Analyze current business processes and systems, identifying areas for improvement and optimization.
- Gather and document detailed functional and technical requirements for the upgrade, including finance, accounting, supply chain, and warehouse management.
- Develop comprehensive use cases, user stories, and process flows to support the upgrade project.
- Work closely with the project team, including developers, system administrators, and end-users, to ensure alignment of business requirements with technical solutions.
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and meetings to elicit requirements and facilitate communication between business and technical teams.
- Create and maintain documentation, including requirement specifications, process maps, and user manuals.
- Assist in system testing, user acceptance testing, and training activities as needed.
- Provide ongoing support and guidance to business users during the transition period and post-implementation.
- Stay informed about industry trends, best practices, and advancements in ERP systems, particularly Microsoft Dynamics Business Central.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Information Systems, or related field.
- Proven experience as a Business Analyst, with a focus on ERP implementations and upgrades.
- Strong familiarity with finance and accounting principles and processes.
- Experience in supply chain management and warehouse operations is a plus.
- Proficiency in Visio or similar tools for process mapping and visualization.
- Demonstrated ability to write clear and concise use cases, user stories, and functional specifications.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Relevant certifications such as Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP) are advantageous.
