Giant Worldwide, LLC is a digital distribution and technologies expert for the entertainment industry. We service many of Hollywood’s largest studios as well as smaller independent studios. Giant has serviced thousands of titles to over 100 different VOD and broadcast platforms including iTunes, Netflix, Amazon, Hulu, Google Play. In addition to our digital VOD offerings, we are also experts in UHD Blu-ray, Blu-ray, and DVD compression and authoring.
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Financial Controller to join our team. As the Financial Controller you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing the company’s financial operations as well as ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of the organization's financial transactions, reporting and analysis. The Financial Controller will be start-up minded, have experience in the entertainment industry or related field, and be eager to work full time on premises.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage monthly revenue accrual, recognition, and reconciliation process.
· Prepare and distribute client, location and service line revenue and margin reports.
· Oversee the month-end closing process, working with the corporate accounting team to ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded, reconciled, and reported.
· Collaborate with department heads to develop accurate revenue, cost forecasts and budgets for the organization. Ability to tactfully challenge and be objective.
· Prepare and analyze financial statements and reports for management review.
· Conduct detailed analysis of Fixed Asset Register Schedule, Accruals Schedule, Prepaid Schedule, and Intercompany transactions.
· Monitor and analyze budget variances, providing insights and recommendations to management.
· Prepare and maintain a 13-week cashflow forecast.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to manage upcoming cash/purchasing needs and review business strategies, tactics, and decisions.
· General oversight and coordination of business and financial operations.
· Provide alternative perspectives, collect data/documentation to support final determinations/decisions.
· Regularly analyze operational landscape to target opportunities for optimization.
· Oversee client/project rate card and billing spreadsheets to ensure accurate invoicing.
· Manage revenue data/process to be audit compliant.
· Manage expense GL coding process.
· Manage AR processes, ensuring timely invoicing and collections.
· Manage AP processes, ensuring proper vendor paperwork (W9/invoices), GL coding determination and timely transaction entry and payment.
· Monitor respective aging reports, following up on overdue accounts as needed.
· Coordinate with external tax preparers to facilitate tax-related tasks and ensure compliance with federal, state, and city financial regulations.
· Undertake special projects and reports as required by management.
5 years of experience managing a finance team and full cycle accounting process. Experience with integration in a multiple entity environment. Degree in Finance, Accounting or similar with CPA a plus.
Compensation: $100,000-$120,000 based on experience. We offer great benefits including medical, dental, vision and 401k with employer match. Position is full time on site.
