Gevurtz Menashe is seeking a part-time Office and Administrative Assistant who thrives in a fast-paced, team environment and wants to contribute to our team by helping to ensure that company goals and objectives are accomplished by providing support to our internal team members.

Gevurtz Menashe is dedicated to practicing family law and estate planning in Oregon, Washington and Idaho. Since inception, our goal has remained the same - to be our client’s law firm and to deliver the highest level of service and best possible outcomes. In this role, the Office and Administrative Assistant is responsible for helping us maintain excellent client service by providing various office and administrative support to our management team, as well as other team members.

This position reports to the Management Team. Business hours are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday on-site at our Portland, Oregon location. This is a part-time position, so a schedule will be determined during the hiring process. On occasion, the Firm may request the Office and Administrative Assistant to work extra hours as necessary to accomplish goals and responsibilities.

This position is non-exempt. Gevurtz Menashe offers competitive compensation, commensurate with experience. Benefits include:

Qualifications:

  • At least one year of successful experience in a professional service environment with customer interaction.
  • Enjoy being in a position where tasks and projects each day can be different.
  • Demonstrate ability to communicate in a professional, warm and courteous manner in person, over the phone, or by email.
  • Exceptional customer service skills and ability to work independently.
  • Must demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Be able to demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, analytical, decision-making, and proactive problem-solving skills.
  • Be able to demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks, follow-through, and work in a fast-paced team environment while remaining calm and professional.
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to assigned project timelines and complete projects by deadlines.
  • Must be meticulously detail-oriented and set high standards for accuracy.
  • Must have demonstrated experience using Microsoft Office programs.
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of all employee and company information.
  • Ability to follow processes and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle stress.
  • Demonstrated ability to constantly shift priorities, prioritize and sense urgency.
  • Ability to sit at a desk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to walk up and down stairs frequently.
  • Ability to lift items up to 20 pounds on occasion.

Essential Duties:

  • Work closely with and effectively communicate with team members to receive or provide essential information necessary to complete assigned projects.
  • Be willing to learn new technology programs and/or skills necessary to complete projects.
  • Provide assistance, as necessary, to other team members.
  • Adhere to processes to ensure efficiency and accuracy.
  • Complete time-sensitive projects by assigned timelines.
  • Other duties as assigned.
