Summary:
Responsible for data analysis in support of a variety of analytic solutions. Capture, develop, and document data definitions, business rules and data quality requirements. Create and produce forecasts, reports, ad hoc requests, dashboards, etc. Interpret data, analyze results, and provide insights to determine operational impact, trends, and opportunities. Develop reports and deliverables for management and communicate with all levels of stakeholders. Identify and define both process and data improvements. Ensure compliance with deliverable reporting requirements by performing quality data audits and analysis.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Collect, analyze, mine and help leverage the information stored in data warehouses.
- Collaborate with analytics team and others inside the organization to develop logic and data sets (SQL, Excel, Power BI) in support of business needs.
- Implement formulas that strengthen, streamline and automate the management of data warehouse systems.
- Collaborate with other analysts and developers to translate data requirements into logical data sets, tools, and analyses.
- Ensure reliability as data moves across the infrastructure.
- Ensure confidentiality and professionalism is maintained when dealing with sensitive and confidential information.
- Performs other duties as required.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Excellent research, analysis and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication abilities
- Strong knowledge of relational database theory, data modeling and architecture.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze data and apply investigative skills in resolving issues.
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously with minimal supervision.
- Demonstrated ability to produce clear, written progress notes and supporting documentation.
- Highly self-motivated and directed with keen attention to detail.
Minimum Education and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field
- 4 years of relevant experience working with SSMS, data warehousing and data management preferably within a healthcare environment
- Intermediate to Advanced skills with T-SQL – temp tables, fact and dimension tables, derived tables, subqueries, and stored procedures
- Advanced proficiency with Excel using PivotTables, linked worksheets, graphing and other reporting and presentation features
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills.
