Job Description
OnsiteData Analyst
As a Data Analyst at Antillean Marine Shipping Corporation, you will play a crucial role in extracting valuable insights from our data to drive informed business decisions. You will be responsible for collecting, processing, and analyzing large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, proficient in data analysis tools, and possesses excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, clean, and preprocess data from various sources for analysis.
- Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies.
- Develop and implement data models and algorithms to extract meaningful insights.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
- Create visualizations and reports to communicate findings to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging trends in data analysis.
- Identify opportunities to automate routine data tasks, improving efficiency and allowing for a more scalable analytics infrastructure.
- Implement and maintain data quality standards and procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of the data used for analysis.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science).
- Proven experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
- At least a yellow belt in Six Sigma.
- Strong proficiency in data analysis tools such as Python, R, or SQL.
- Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
- Solid understanding of statistical concepts and methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to present complex findings in a clear and concise manner.
- Fluent: English and Spanish.
