Description & Requirements

Our project-based staffing workforce is continuing to grow to meet the demands of exciting client opportunities. This role is for TALENT SHIFT, LLC, a subsidiary of FORVIS, LLP. It focuses on facilitating all HR programs and strategies in support of the needs of our hourly employee gig workforce. As a forward-looking business partner, this position will work closely with employees and functional partners to deliver a best-in-class employee and stakeholder experience. This HR Manager can roll up sleeves and assist with processes to optimize employee productivity and engagement.

How you will contribute:

  • Responsible for employee lifecycle such as employee onboarding; exits, transaction processing, and ensuring transactions are recorded in the respective systems on a timely basis and ensuring data accuracy
  • Oversight of background check process and related compliance verifications, including monitoring and VISA support and ensuring all shared services teams are collaborating to resolve matters timely
  • Coach business leaders and employees on HR policies and processes, including talent planning, learning and development, and performance management to promote engagement and a culture of continuous growth and development
  • Liaison with firm-wide teams to manage the payroll/benefits and compensation processes
  • Provides day-to-day counsel on matters concerning employee relations, including performance improvement (disciplinary process), employee contracts (creation, review & renewal), HR compliance, law, and government regulations
  • Responsible for day-to-day reporting matters such as timesheet investigations, L&D compliance, and laptop returns
  • Act as an escalation point for timesheet investigations, performance issues, and review of candidate Non-Disclosure agreements, and process Compliance Disclosures for employees who have outside employment
  • Work with functional leadership to propose and develop new processes and policies to improve procedures during the employee life cycle and maintain an updated People Guide
  • Act as liaison between HR Shared Services and TALENT SHIFT employees on payroll and benefits questions

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 7 years or more of progressively responsible experience as an HR Business Partner in a dynamic environment, with specific experience in strategy development (preferred), organizational design, talent management, and change management
  • Understanding of all aspects of labor and human resources-related laws and regulations including but not limited to the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), Title VII, ADA, ADAAA, ADEA, FMLA & state/local laws and ordinances
  • Microsoft Office (MS) Suite skills
  • Experience working in various technology systems, such as UKG, SAP Fieldglass, Workday, iCIMS
  • Demonstrated ability to work in and manage ambiguity; dealing with issues that do not always have a process or a system in place
  • Equally adept at consulting, thinking strategically, and execution. Exhibits a roll-up-your-sleeves attitude
  • Demonstrated experience and ability to balance business partnering skills with employee advocacy

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proven success in an HR role in a professional services environment
