Description

DeMayo Law Offices is seeking an energetic HR/Recruiting Coordinator to assist with the firm’s human resources processes, including benefits, payroll, talent acquisition, talent sourcing and onboarding. In this key role, you will help support and facilitate organizational change and growth. This is an entry-level position.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with recruiting and candidate screening, ensuring candidates are moved through the process in a timely manner
  • Assisting in the development of sourcing strategies and talent attraction initiatives that incorporate our ATS (Paylocity), LinkedIn Recruiter and other channels
  • Sourcing candidates, conducting screening interviews, preparing interview summaries, and making interview recommendations
  • Leveraging professional networks, social media, user groups, networking events and other creative channels to source both active and passive candidates
  • Providing administrative support for various recruiting and Human Resources initiatives
  • Obtaining reference checks, background checks, and due diligence on associate candidates; seeing the hiring process through the offer and acceptance stage
  • Managing post-offer and new hire processes, including background & drug screening, I-9 and E-Verify processes, initiating and following up on online onboarding documents, etc. 
  • As part of the HR team, assisting with administrative support, employee attendance and reporting
  • Assisting with performance management processes, including new hire evaluations 
  • Project work such as procedure documentation, employee recognition, job description reviews, etc.
  • Serve as backup for processing bi-weekly payroll
  • Maintains confidentiality and protects operations by keeping human resource information confidential

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; however, a combination of education, certifications and experience may be considered
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to prioritize job responsibilities in an ever-changing, fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Windows/Office and ability to learn and use various software programs; Experience with Paylocity HRIS a plus
  • Must be able to demonstrate a high degree of initiative and follow-through. 
  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced environment, juggling a diversity of tasks, and helping the team meet multiple deadlines is essential
