Human Resources Generalist

We are a leading provider of full-service staffing and management programs for the K-12 educational market. We are currently seeking a Human Resources Generalist for our Knoxville, Tennessee office.

OVERVIEW: The Human Resources Generalist is responsible for providing general human resources support including employee records management, preparing HR reports and assist in data analysis as requested, responding to HR inquiries from employees, and supporting HR projects and initiatives as assigned.

SCHEDULE:

• Working hours: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5pm
• Work Location: In office
• FLSA Status: Non-exempt

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and update employee records in the HR database while ensuring accuracy and completeness of employee files.
• Assist with e-verify and unemployment.
• Compile and prepare reports and documents pertaining to personnel activities.
• Assist with compliance activities related to labor laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with the HR team to improve HR processes and efficiency.
• Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Associate degree or other 2-year degree.
• Minimum of one year of experience in the Human Resources field.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Office applications including Word and Excel.
• High attention to detail and maintain a high level of accuracy in data entry.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Professional Human Resources Certification preferred but not required.
