Job Summary:
The Human Resource Specialist is responsible for performing HR- related duties on a professional level and will work closely with the Human Resources Manager. This position fulfills responsibilities in the following functional areas: recruitment/employment, onboarding, policy implementation, benefits, employee relations and employee law compliance.
Job Duties:
· Full-cycle recruiting including posting open positions, reviewing applications/resumes, schedule and conducting phone interviews, scheduling on-site interviews, job offers and onboarding new hires
· Managing on-site applicant and employee drug tests
· Scanning paperwork into employee files
· Conducting new hire orientation
· Attending local job fairs
· Developing relationships with outside agencies for recruiting purposes
· Implementing and overseeing internship programs
· In the HR Manager’s absence, manage employee relations including conducting investigations, conflict resolution and disciplinary actions
· Active member of Employee Engagement & Retention Committee
· Audit monthly benefits
· Administrative Human Resources duties
· Assist Training Coordinator with training tasks and tracking
· Help with coordination of company, employee, volunteer, and charity events
· Comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices and Food Safety Standards
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education and Experience:
· Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources field preferred
· Minimum 1 year of Human Resources and Recruiting experience preferred
· Paylocity experience required
· Schedule flexibility required
· Excellent written, verbal communication and collaborative skills
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel, Word, Outlook, and Teams
· Strong integrity with organizational, confidentiality and communicational skills
· Ability to work independently under minimal supervision
Physical Requirements:
· Sedentary work: Exerting up to 25 pounds of lifting occasionally, frequently walking the production floor, however, the majority of this position is sedentary work; sitting most of the time.
Position Type:
This is a full-time, in-office position. The position may require overtime and occasional weekend work.
Travel:
Minimal local travel is expected.
