As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will take a strategic, structured and proactive approach to growing our business through partnerships that drive brand awareness, monetization and user growth for Duolingo.
What you'll do...

• Grow our partnership portfolio by sourcing, conceptualizing, negotiating and implementing opportunities with measurable impact to business metrics, such as user growth, subscription revenue and brand awareness
• Build compelling and quantifiable business cases for strategic bets to pursue
• Work closely with Product/Engineering to influence product integrations vital to get strategic partnerships off the ground
• Collaborate with Marketing teams to amplify partnership launches through buzzworthy activations

What we're looking for...

• 3 years of business development experience, having successfully developed partnerships in the digital consumer tech (B2C) space
• Experience in conceiving, developing, and implementing partnerships throughout their full cycles, from deal sourcing, to building business cases, negotiating agreements, driving and tracking results
• Critical thinking and structured thought process, with skills to build and communicate compelling, data-driven narratives
• Ambitious spirit with a track record of achieving great results by building long-lasting external relationships, collaborating effectively with multiple internal teams to drive ideas to execution, and taking a test and scale approach
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Excellent analytical skills
• Experience working closely with strategy, product and engineering colleagues

Exceptional Candidates have:

• Experience with mobile apps and subscription services
• Relevant work experience in consulting or banking
• MBA from reputable university
• Proficiency in a 3rd language
• Excitement for our mission to make high-quality language learning accessible to everyone

We invest in and support our Duos! This role is eligible for a robust compensation package of base salary, equity, and Duolingo's world-class benefits. The starting base salary range for this role is, $124,100 - $258,000. Actual salary may vary based on level, work experience, performance, and other factors evaluated during the hiring process.
