This position helps fulfill the mission of Cru and Unto by leading the ministry Development Team to identify and develop long-term financial partners who provide funding for the ministry. This includes all general, mid- level, and major donor programs, as well as all development projects and initiatives necessary to accomplish the objective. This individual will create and implement strategic plans to provide a solid financial foundation for Unto's worldwide humanitarian programs.

The Kind of Work You’ll be Doing:

• Develop annual ministry-wide fund development plan and strategy and manage execution of the plan, including income and expense projections for overall program and each strategy (Proforma) as well as Unto budget.

• Evaluate each element of the plan execution (general file, mid-level, major donor, monthly partner, processes, etc.) on a regular basis, carefully reviewing ROI and Net to Unto. Assure all development efforts are effective and align with Unto's mission and brand.

• Assure the establishment and management of fund development-focused programs, including an effective annual giving program, monthly givers program, peer-to-peer program, donor events, and other effective fund development programs.

• Build fruitful relationships with major donors, casting vision for Unto while accompanying major donor rep and/or President on major donor calls.

• Assure the growth of the Unto donor base through effective donor acquisition efforts, utilizing all appropriate channels. Assure that donors are being lifted in their giving through the programs.

• Establish and manage budgets to achieve appropriate fundraising percentages and maximize net income to ministry.

• Identify and negotiate agreements/contracts with outside agencies, graphic designers, writers, data managers, etc., with the necessary expertise to execute Unto marketing plans.

• Provide leadership of the Development Team, including:

• Recruiting, equipping, and supervising staff.

• Ensuring all staff have accurate job descriptions, personal development plans, and
  required reviews.

• Lead team meetings to minister to spiritual needs, ensure growth, coordinate efforts, and
  provide professional development.

• Meet regularly with team members to review individual plans, progress, and effectiveness.

Experience and Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree.
• 5 years of experience in fund development at a non-profit organization or marketing agency that serves non-profits, with significant project management responsibility.
• Supervisory experience and Cru experience preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
