We are proud of being a growing part of the Orlando Modelling, Simulation, and Training (MS&T) contractor community. 4C North America Inc. is located in Orlando, in the heart of the Central Florida Research Park, right next to the University of Central Florida.

THE POSITION

As the Director of Business Development, you will be at the forefront of your mission to deliver cutting-edge military training solutions and services to our valued clients. Reporting directly to the Senior Vice President of Sales, you’ll take the helm of our end-to-end sales cycle, making an impact from lead generation to closing deals. In this role, you will play a critical part in achieving our sales targets and expanding our customer base.

THE JOB

Our Director of Business Development will be responsible for:

  • Lead and manage the sales team and oversee the end-to-end sales cycle, including lead generation, presales, and closing deals.
  • Identify new business opportunities through market research, networking, and industry events.
  • Build strong relationships with customers, vendors, and distributors, as well as internal stakeholders such as sales and marketing teams.
  • Negotiate and close deals with new and existing clients and partners, using your expertise to secure valuable contracts that drive revenue and growth.
  • Develop and execute innovative strategies aimed at increasing revenue and market share.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product development, to ensure alignment and success of business development efforts.
  • Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring industry trends and stay up to date with new technologies and market developments.
  • Assist in the production and implementation of company marketing plans as needed.
  • Prepare all documentation required for request for proposals (RFPs).
  • Develop and nurture strategic partnerships to help grow the 4C Exonaut Training platform.

SUCCESS- DRIVEN QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales, or related field & proven track record of successfully generating revenue and closing deals.
  • 5-7 years of experience in business development, sales, or related field and minimum 2 years of leadership experience.
  • A strong understanding of software industry including relevant technologies, with a deep expertise in software within military training and simulation environments.
  • An established network within the military training & simulation industry, DoD, and interagency spaces.
  • Knowledge about government contracting, current acquisition trends, and customer buying behavior's, including FAR/DFAR/DOD contract regulations.
  • Profound understanding of government procurement and entire business development process from identification and qualification to capture and bid activities.
  • Experience with CRM systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead opportunity capture efforts, involving strategy crafting, customer collaboration, teaming strategy development, partnership success, pricing dynamics comprehension, and contribution to winning proposals.
  • Innate curiosity and drive to overcome challenges, and effective collaboration skills within both independent and team environments.
  • Willingness to embrace new challenges with a resilient, never-give-up attitude.
  • Readiness to travel and collaborate with a global team of professionals.
  • U.S. Citizenship with the capability to obtain a DoD security clearance and engage in international travel for meetings with internal/external stakeholders.

  • Experience in Microsoft Office Suite

DESIRED SKILLS:

  • Previous experience in contract administration
  • Master’s degree in business administration, sales, or related field
  • Shipley Certification
  • Experience with Canva, Adobe, Monday, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator
