Overview of the Accounts Payable Specialist Role:
- Process high volume invoices against subcontracts, purchase orders, and overhead invoices.
- Reconcile statements, some of which may be 10 pages long.
- Assist with email communications and accurately enter invoices into the system.
- Conduct research to resolve discrepancies in invoices and statements.
- Collaborate with subcontractors and contractors to ensure timely processing.
- Follow up with contractors regarding outstanding invoices and payment statuses.
Preferred qualifications of the Accounts Payable Specialist:
- Prior experience with full-cycle Accounts Payable
- Experience in construction industry a huge plus
- Tax knowledge is beneficial.
- Prior experience in subcontract or construction accounting is preferred.
- This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment.
