Job Overview:

The AP Lead is responsible for supervising full-cycle accounts payable process including vendor pay, 1099 IC pay, and fee advance/ reimbursable pay, as well as reconciling stale and filing unclaimed property. This position must be located in the Seattle, WA area and be available to come in to the ABC Legal Office.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep track of all payments & expenditures, including checks, ACHs, wires and credit card purchases & payments
• Reconcile AP GL's and monthly statements
• Manage monthly closing or AP records
• Manage maintaining AP files and year-end files
• Research, resolve, and communicate issues & discrepancies within all aspects of AP
• Implement and maintain systems, procedures & policies, including accounts payable functions to ensure adherence to company guidelines
• Continue to improve the AP process and perform any other related duties and assignments as required

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting preferred
• Microsoft Dynamics GP experience preferred
• A minimum of 2 years' experience with heavy AP- related tasks, with strong understanding of Journal Entries and General Ledger accounts
• Knowledge and ability to place a high emphasis and maintain controls surrounding financial reporting as pertains to GAAP and SOP
• Ability to exercise good judgement; make decisions in logical and rational manner, demonstrates "common sense"; practical and stays cool under pressure
• Ability to gather facts, analyze problems in depth, and break down into components
• Strong supervisory skills (Oversee team of 3)
• Ability to multitask, adapt to and operate in a fast-paced, changing environment
