Blue Origin is Hiring an Accounts Payable Specialist I (R38554) Near Seattle, WA
As a crucial member of our team, you will be responsible for processing invoices for a variety of spaceflight systems and support functions. Your role will have a direct impact on all aspects of AP invoice processing and contribute to the history of space exploration. We are seeking an individual with a strong commitment to safety and attention to detail to join us in our mission.
Responsibilities
- Inputting invoices into the system
- Collaborating with Procurement and suppliers to resolve any invoicing issues
- Reconciling supplier statements
- Assisting with other payables functions as needed
Qualifications
- Associate degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Professional experience with enterprise-level, high-volume payables processing
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Basic understanding of how payables impact the general ledger and financial statements
- Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced and sometimes ambiguous work environment
Desired
- Experience with Coupa, Costpoint, Cognos, and Concur
- Proficiency with Microsoft Teams
