Research Administrative Assistant
Overview:
Join our team at the Mike O’Callaghan Military Medical Center, Nellis Air Force Base, NV, as a Research Administrative Assistant. In this role, you will provide essential support to the Clinical Investigation Program (CIP) of the Defense Health Agency (DHA). Your responsibilities will involve data entry, tracking, follow-up, scheduling, and maintaining clinic flow. The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s degree or Certification in Clinical Research, along with two years of healthcare-related field experience or experience in human research, development, test, and evaluation. You must have current Human Subject Research Protection training and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Responsibilities:
Perform accurate and timely data entry for research studies.
Track and monitor research-related activities and documentation.
Conduct follow-up activities to ensure completion of tasks and compliance with protocols.
Assist in scheduling and coordinating appointments and study-related activities.
Maintain clinic flow by organizing and managing participant schedules.
Assist in the coordination of research-related meetings and events.
Support the preparation of research materials, documents, and presentations.
Assist in maintaining research databases and electronic records.
Communicate with research team members and stakeholders to facilitate coordination and information sharing.
Provide administrative support to ensure efficient operations of the research program.
Assist in maintaining inventory and ordering of research-related supplies.
Participate in training programs to enhance administrative and research support skills.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
Job Requirements:
Preferred Professional Experience:
Experience working within the Military Medical system (e.g., military, civilian employee, or government contractor).
Education and Certifications:
Bachelor's Degree or Certification in Clinical Research.
Two years of healthcare-related field experience or experience in human research, development, test, and evaluation.
Current Human Subject Research Protection training from the Office of the Under Secretary of Defense "Personnel and Readiness" (within 15 days of hire).
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification prior to the start date.
