Job Summary:
Under the direction of the Senior Operations Accountant, the Accounts Payable Associate is responsible for accounts payable and the fixed and prepaid assets of the Bank.
Essential Functions:
1. Responsible for general ledger coding of invoices and invoice input to the accounts payable system.
2. Maintains, reconciles and performs monthly closing of fixed assets records and prepaid expense records and the brokered CD premium.
3. Daily review of core system to subledgers for Loans and Deposits. Makes sure the subledgers for the Loans and Deposits remain in balance. Alerts the Senior Operations Accountant of any out of balance conditions. Assists with the remediation of out of balance conditions.
4. Inputs daily journal entries for the Finance Group.
5. Responsible for processing employee expense reimbursements.
6. Assists with preparing annual report information on bank expenses, fixed assets and legal fees.
7. Assists with preparation of auditor/examiners requests and reports as needed.
8. Performs other duties and special projects as needed and assigned.
- 1 -2 years of experience in accounts payable and accounts payable software system
- Experience in bank accounting helpful
- Strong and accurate data entry skills
- Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Team player and self-starter
- Require the ability to be flexible and work independently
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
- Present professional image and work well in a team environment
