Coastal Ridge Real Estate is Hiring a Human Resources Intern (Part-Time) Near Columbus, OH

What You’ll Do:
As an HR Intern, you will be responsible for assisting in the day-to-day operations of the HR and Recruiting department You’ll gain exposure to multiple departments within Coastal Ridge through supporting our Recruiting, Onboarding, and Core HR teams with various projects and initiatives and shadowing opportunities.
Where You’ll Work:
Located in downtown Columbus, Ohio, our corporate offices overlook the Columbus Commons which plays hosts to over 200 events throughout the year. Enjoy the building’s fitness center and rooftop terrace with adjoining clubroom, and walk to some of the city’s best restaurants and downtown amenities. As the Human Resources Intern, you will be expected to work in office, part-time (days and times flexible within standard business operating hours) with compensation at $15/hour. 
What You’ll Own:
  • Provide administrative recruiting support through activities such as resume reviews, making updates in the Applicant Tracking System, presenting offers, running background checks, and sending email communications to candidates.
  • Assist in the onboarding process for new hires, providing the necessary paperwork, completing onboarding within the company’s HRIS system, and communicating with employees.
  • Assist in completion of I-9 verification forms and other necessary paperwork for new hires including utilizing tools such as E-verify.
  • Complete offboarding of associates, including processing in the company’s HRIS, sending end of employment documentation, and calculating I-9 retention.
  • Maintain employee personnel files by ensuring that all required documents are collected and are saved in employee files.
  • Assist the Recruiting team with scheduling in person interviews, posting jobs for our various vacant roles, and other administrative support duties
  • Assist the HR team with auditing benefits enrollments and invoicing, processing HR mail, and auditing payroll.
  • Support additional special projects throughout the year. Potential projects include participating in the I-9 Worker’s Compensation audits, payroll audits, job description updates, and other strategic initiatives on an ad hoc basis
What You’ll Bring:
  • Currently enrolled in an accredited degree program in Human Resources or related field.
  • Previous experience in a corporate office environment, preferred.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail required.
  • Previous experience utilizing an applicant tracking system and/or HRIS a plus.
  • General knowledge related to recruiting and HR practices a plus.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality and professionalism and to ensure that personnel matters are kept private.
  • Ability to self-motivate and work efficiently in both collaborative and independent settings
