As part of the Crain’s New York Business Sales Team you will develop new relationships through an integrated approach to new business development. You will craft marketing strategies that include, print, digital, and event solutions for clients and present customized solutions. Responsibilities Prospect for new clients and grow existing client base Use Salesforce to track client interactions and manage forecast Maintain aggressive pipeline in Salesforce to meet quota Anticipate and meet customer's needs/expectations by using a consultative approach for proposal creation, presentation and closing Develop business plans to reach and surpass defined revenue goals Attend networking and work-related events Work collaboratively with team members on the Crain’s NY team and other Crain properties Industries could include: real estate, law, economic development, non-profit, and education Basic Qualifications Minimum of 4 years solutions-based sales experience in a B2B (Business to Business) company Background prospecting and developing new business while managing and growing existing business Proven track record of hitting all sales goals Adept at creating marketing / advertising programs and partnering with customers as they grow and market their business Comfortable presenting to agency contacts, business owners and marketers Background calling upon and building relationships with senior marketing contacts, business owners and agencies in the NYC area Preferences Multi-platform, events, custom content, and digital sales experience Experience calling on Real Estate, Finance, Hospitality and Education a plus Bachelor’s degree preferred Media background This position is non-exempt under the Fair Labor Standards Act and is eligible for overtime pay. Pay Transparency Disclosure: The estimated base salary range for this position is $80,000. This position is also eligible for a commission plan in addition to base salary. The final salary offering will take into account a wide range of specific and relevant factors, including experience, accomplishments and location. The salary range provided should not be considered as a salary limit or cap. Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of many Crain jobs.
