Position Description:
The Executive Assistant is responsible for providing comprehensive support to the Executive Director, Board and Executive Leadership Team members of the Agency. This position coordinates activities with members of the Senior Leadership Team. This dynamic position requires the ability to anticipate needs, think critically, and offer solutions to problems with a high level of professionalism and great discernment. A successful Executive Assistant will have excellent attention to detail, create and maintain organized systems, have excellent written and oral communication skills, be committed to quality work, thrive in a fast-paced environment with constantly shifting priorities, take initiative, and have a proactive and collaborate approach to working with colleagues.

Position Overview:
Reporting directly to the President & CEO, the Executive Assistant provides executive support in a mission-driven and collaborative team environment. The Executive Assistant assists the President & CEO with daily responsibilities; serves as a liaison to the board of directors and senior management teams; organizes and coordinates executive outreach and external relations efforts; and oversees special projects. The Executive Assistant must be creative, solution oriented, be self-directed, anticipate needs, and adapt to ever changing priorities. The ideal individual will have the ability to exercise good judgment in a variety of situations, with strong written and verbal communication, administrative, and organizational skills, with the ability to maintain a realistic balance among multiple priorities. The Executive Assistant will have the ability to work independently on projects, from conception to completion, and must be able to work under pressure at times to handle a wide variety of activities and confidential matters with discretion. Previous experience in supporting executive leaders, board members, or other high-level staff is required.
Work within this position will mostly be done in an office or indoor setting spent on administrative tasks such as emails, phone calls, reports, written communication, and design work. Light lifting will be required when moving office furniture and supplies to set up for meetings and occasional travel outside of the office to complete shopping/errands as necessary.
