By Light Professional IT Services LLC is Hiring a Deputy Program Manager Near Orlando, FL

Overview

The Air Force Civil Engineer (AFCEC) community has identified the cybersecurity of Civil Engineer (CE) Control Systems as essential in securing the infrastructure at Department of the Air Force (DAF) installations. The AFCEC Operations Directorate (AFCEC/CO) is tasked to support securing this infrastructure by contracting for cybersecurity service capabilities on behalf of the CE enterprise. AFCEC manages cyber risk; and identifies, mitigates, monitors, and predicts cyber vulnerabilities related to CE Control Systems worldwide. By Light Professional IT Services (By Light) a leading provider of innovative services and communications support to the Department of Defense and Federal Agencies is looking for a dynamic individual to support our program manager in support of the U.S. Air Force AFCEC cybersecurity program. The project includes cybersecurity assessments, OT vulnerability assessments, network infrastructure maintenance, incident responses at U.S. Air Force bases across the CONUS and OCONUS locations.

Responsibilities

  • The Deputy Program Manager Coordinates and works closely with the Program Manager, Contracts Specialists, COR, and Program CIO, and Program Division Chiefs to ensure “Exceptional” Contractor Performance Assessment Report (CPAR).
  • Works closely with Program Manager in identifying, tracking and managing individual project risks, communications, plans, and resources while providing weekly and monthly status updates to the customer and corporate office.
  • Develops and maintains a strong client relationship and grows the work we are doing in support of the key missions.
  • Markets By Light capabilities to the client organization.
  • Understands Clients emerging needs and projects.
  • Identifies, develops, and closes on new sales opportunities to achieve individual, team and organizations sales objectives.
  • Responsible for the final quality and delivery of reports such as status reports, technical reports, and other reports required of the program.
  • Keeps the client abreast of new developments and changes in the scope and/or timetable of the program.
  • Maintains By Light’s reputation by ensuring professional, technical, and ethical standards are upheld by all program staff in dealing with clients, agencies, and subcontractors.
  • Forecasts client needs and communicates those to the Company to ensure we are prepared to respond to them.
  • Makes sure deliverables and all other customer requested documents are completed and submitted on time (i.e., Weekly Report, Customer’s Weekly Activity Report, Weekly Customer Support Division Metrics, and Monthly report)
  • Work closely with Program Manager, Sub-contractor, and Support Team to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
  • Work closely with Program Manager and program Team Leads to help identify issues and risks while providing potential solutions and mitigation approaches.
  • Provide customer management support to include tracking and addressing customer requests related to program objectives.
  • Responsible for the Onboarding and Off boarding of personnel.
  • Coordinated project activities with Support Team, Program Manager and Agency Stakeholders to plan and execute on defined program objectives.
  • Ensure all Customer requests and requirements are documented, communicated, and reviewed by Program Manager on an as needed basis.
  • Assisted with coordinating travel requests and completing all required pre and post travel documents.
  • Work with the Accounting team to review and process billable and non-billable expenses.
  • Assisted with organizing employee team building events and coordinate Executive and Senior Management site visits.
  • Attend all weekly and ad hoc Customer meetings

Required Experience/Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree - 5 years’ work experience may be substituted for a master’s degree or bachelor’s degree plus 8 years work
  • Experience: Minimum of 5 years of project management experience working on DoD or Intelligence Community (IC) programs/projects.

Preferred Experience/Qualifications

  • Has the communication skills to effectively interface with senior military officials, managers, and subordinates.
  • Certifications: DAU Level III certification in Program Management, or Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification.
