This AP Specialist must be local to the NYC area, but will be working predominately REMOTE, except for training and onboarding and coming into the office periodically. You are welcome to utilize the office more frequently but this is a remote position.

Job Responsibilities:

• Inputting all AP invoices into QuickBooks, ensuring each is correctly coded and approved prior to payment
• Managing the issuance of checks
• Generating and presenting weekly reports on aging, checks, and electronic payments to senior management
• Applying precise billing codes and general ledger accounts to invoices, with a preference for candidates who have substantial experience with detailed billing codes.
• Overseeing vendor relationships, maintaining vendor documentation and contracts, and serving as the primary contact for vendor queries
• Reconciling corporate credit card statements to guarantee correct expense allocation for client billing
• Securing annual COI's from third-party vendors as needed
• 1099 form preparation
• Providing support and backup for the AR department, including tasks such as reviewing client contracts, billing, upkeeping client rapport, and handling payments

REQUIREMENTS:

• 2-3 years of AP experience within Professional Services or Financial Services is REQUIRED.
• Bachelor's degree
• QuickBooks and Excel (pivots/vlookups)
• Exceptional business communication abilities, both written and verbal
• Demonstrated capability to engage effectively with personnel at all organizational levels, including clients and vendors
