American Association for Cancer Research is Hiring a Human Resources Coordinator Near Philadelphia, PA

Overview

The Human Resource Coordinator provides a key level of administrative and technical support to the Human Resource Department which requires the individual to use discretion and independent judgement in the performance of his/her duties and responsibilities. operational and technical functions within the AACR. The HR Coordinator will assist the department’s Management Team in all administrative processes, employee customer services initiatives, candidates’ application processes including testing and other related procedures. In addition, the successful candidate will also assist the Senior Benefits Manager with employees’ benefits, payroll processes, and other Onboarding procedures. The Coorfinstot may also perform limited receptionist duties at the Front Desk. 

Responsibilities

Administrative Support Duties: 

  • Provides a high level of HR administrative and technical support to the department and its management team. 
  • Acts as a point person to AACR’s staff regarding HR services and programs, etc. 
  • Assists the HR Department with its employee related correspondence and other relevant communications 
  • Assists with the handling of incoming personnel requisitions and job descriptions from hiring managers. 
  • Assists in the administration of the application process, including scheduling of candidates for testing and interviews, assembling of applicant folders, updating of recruitment schedules and summaries. 
  • Researches job boards and posts position announcements utilizing the internet, intranet, and other venues. 
  • Utilizes ICIMS Applicant Tracking System to support the recruiting efforts of the three recruiters. 
  • Assists the Manager, Talent Acquisition in conducting professional reference and background checks on new hires. 
  • Assists in maintaining the HR Department’s Employee Personnel and Medical Files. 
  • Schedules new employees for Building Identification cards and maintains record of AACR access cards. 
  • Assists with the AACR’s payroll process as needed and provides training for new hires on Paylocity. 
  • Provides AACR Switchboard coverage as needed. 
  • Assists with special projects spearheaded by HR, such as the Cancer and Biomedical Research Career Fair and other HR activities. 
  • Provides support during AACR’s Annual Career Fair 
  • Other duties as assigned. 

HRIS (Paylocity/ONCOS) Responsibilities: 

  • Handles the enrollment process of new employees from ICIMS into AACR’s HRIS Systems (Paylocity) as part of the Onboarding Process.. 
  • Assists in monitoring employees changes and updates to Paylocity prior to forwarding to Payroll. 
  • Ensures managers and employees timecard entries are accurate and approved for Payroll processing. 
  • Assists the Senior Benefits Manager in monitoring timecard entries, leave balances. and adjustments records as needed. 

Qualifications

  • B.A. Degree Required 
  • Two years minimum previous work experience in an administrative support capacity 
  • Knowledge of HR functions, onboarding, recruitment, and staffing
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite; Word, Outlook, Excel, and database applications •Knowledge of or exposure to Payroll systems (Paylocity/Paycom), Applicant Tracking Systems (ICIMS), etc. •Ability to multi-task and operate under tight deadlines. •Ability to conduct various types of HR related research as requested •Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills •Strong interpersonal and customer service skills •Ability to work effectively as part of a team with limited supervision •Ability to work with and maintain strict confidentiality regarding all HR information
