Overview

The HR Intern will assist the HR team with compliance and administrative support. This position will learn behavior and competency-based interviewing skills and apply their findings to create interview guides for the Iovance Cell Therapy Center roles. In addition, there is an opportunity to learn about career progression and assist in creating career ladders and progression.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities

• Able to work up to 40 hours, Monday through Friday, for 12 weeks
• Learn behavior and competency-based interviewing skills
• Learn to create effective interview guides
• Participate in special projects as assigned
• Create and Present a PowerPoint presentation on topics learned during the course of the internship
• Assist with HR Orientation

• Must adhere to Iovance Biotherapeutics’ core values, policies, procedures, and business ethics.

• Perform miscellaneous related duties as assigned

Required Education, Skills, and Knowledge

• Undergraduate pursuing a 4-year degree in Human Resources, Communications, Business, or relevant field
• Good interpersonal skills
• Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work independently
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality
• Ability to effectively learn and acquire new knowledge and skills
• Able to share knowledge and work in a strong team-oriented environment
• Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Suite

Preferred Education, Skills, and Knowledge

• Working knowledge of U.S. labor laws
• Understanding of human resources principles, practices, and procedures

Physical Demands and Activities Required

• Must be able to constantly operate a computer and other office machinery.

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position standing or sitting for prolonged periods of time
• Must be able to move and lift up to 15 pounds at times

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, copiers, and filing cabinets.
