Wilbraham, Lawler & Buba is Hiring a Human Resources Specialist Near Philadelphia, PA

Overview:

The Human Resource Specialist works with the Firm Administrator and Firm Officers to implement and evaluate ongoing human resources policies and programs and is responsible for managing a range of activities related to employee relations and compliance functions.

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for the recruitment of new employees based upon direction of senior management including reviewing job descriptions, posting jobs, screening candidates and attending in-person interviews
  • Prepare the firm’s twice-monthly payroll in conjunction with accounting personnel
  • Partner with management to refine human resources policies and procedures, and monitor the company’s adherence to programs and laws.
  • Investigate and resolve all types of employment complaints.
  • Assist management in the performance review process annually.
  • Monitor and advise on the implementation of a performance improvement process with non-performing employees.
  • Conduct new employee orientation
  • Maintain attorney, paralegal and other professional certifications and state licensure information
  • Prepare new attorney biographies for websites including photography
  • Administer employee insurance programs including life, disability, dental, vision and health insurance plans.
  • Advise and inform employees of changes and developments related to benefits including eligibility, coverage, and provisions.
  • Complete all ACA reporting.

Skills:

The ideal candidate should possess the following:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Business, or Organization Development.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of progressive leadership experience in a Human Resources position with an emphasis on employee/labor relations.
  • Extensive knowledge of employment laws and employment practices, with experience in conducting all types of employment investigations
  • Extensive knowledge of employee benefits and compensation.
  • High level of confidentiality.
  • People Management experience preferred, coaching, training and mentoring staff.
  • Excellent organizational management skills.
  • Multi-state experience is a plus.

Pay: $63,000.00 - $68,000.00 per year
