What is the essence of the role?

As our Business Development Manager for the USA market, you will play a pivotal role in expanding our presence, understanding the market dynamics, and fostering strategic partnerships. Your main focus of work will be on engaging with universities, international offices, business schools, and other educational institutions offering MA, MSc, and similar programs. Additionally, you will collaborate with advertising agencies catering to the education sector.

What will your job look like?

  • Identifying and contacting potential clients within the education sector, including universities, business schools, and other educational institutions, as well as media agencies catering to this market.
  • Cultivating and nurturing relationships with clients, understanding their needs and objectives to provide tailored solutions and services.
  • Closing deals and negotiating contracts to meet and exceed sales targets, ensuring the long-term satisfaction and retention of clients.
  • Attending industry conferences and events to network, gather market insights, and analyze competitor strategies.
  • Serving as a consultant at company-sponsored events in the USA and abroad, providing expert guidance and support to clients.
  • Utilizing CRM tools effectively to manage leads, track progress, and optimize sales processes.
  • Developing and implementing innovative marketing strategies and media solutions, collaborating with clients to drive engagement and ROI.
  • Continuously seeking out new methods, tools, and solutions to enhance business development strategies and outcomes, staying ahead of industry trends and best practices.

What do you need to be successful?

  • Minimum 3 years of proven track record in a sales/business development role. Experience in the Education sector would be considered an advantage
  • A self-driven person with an innovative mindset and the ability to build, maintain and grow client relationships
  • Based in East Coast, working remotely, and available to travel for face-to-face meetings with clients and participation in our events as a consultant
  • Creative mindset, constantly seeking out new methods, tools, and solutions to enhance business development strategies and outcomes.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with proficiency in English
  • Confident MS Office user (especially Excel), comfortable with using a CRM
  • Fluent in written and spoken English with proficiency in a second language, preferably Spanish, is advantageous
