Status: Full-Time. Hourly, Overtime eligible
Remote: Hybrid available once training has been completed and you are meeting performance expectations.

The Position:AmeriCU Credit Union is in search of a Fraud Analyst who aligns directly with our mission to provide our members with the right financial services to live life, dream big, and achieve financial success, and our vision to be the most admired organization in every community we serve. As a Fraud Analyst you will:
  • Support The BSA & Fraud Department in promoting safety and ensuring the security of the Credit Union and its assets.
  • Assist with investigations of fraud claims against the Credit Union and members.
  • Provide support for the following: security cameras, door access and vaults.
What You’ll Do:As a Fraud Analyst your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Primary contact for maintenance of Financial Center safes/vaults, door access devices, and cameras including ensuring all security equipment is in proper working order and placing service calls when required.
  • Setup and monitor all door and alarm access requests.
  • Advise Financial Center employees on various issues regarding updates and alerts to security policies and procedures. Process counterfeit currency as needed.
  • Research and analyze account activity to assess levels of risk to reduce and prevent fraud. Investigates cases of check fraud, loan fraud and account fraud and recommends to management the best course of action to mitigate further loss.
  • Answer the department hotline to assist Credit Union employees with Security & Fraud related questions.
  • Support the BSA & Fraud Manager in delivering robbery, active shooter, and other safety-related training to all members of the Credit Union.
  • Initiates initial investigation in any security or fraud issues and coordinates with law enforcement when warranted. Retain, extract and deliver video footage to external parties when requested.
  • Communicates with Financial Center staff regarding member conduct incidents and recommends further action to the BSA & Fraud Manager.
  • Investigate and report Credit Union criminal events, accidents, and injuries. File insurance claims on behalf of the Credit Union as needed.
  • Maintain the Credit Union’s emergency response system and assist the BSA & Fraud Manager with sending notifications.
  • Assist with third-party management on construction and remodel projects in relation to physical security interests and systems.
