Our client is a fast-growing company poised for their next leap forward. They have a new, state-of-the-art headquarters building under construction in Austin, and they are looking for a highly motivated person to help lead them into a bright future. As Account Manager, you will own a portfolio of properties, with end-to-end responsibility for delivering a superb product and customer experience. The ideal candidate has excellent interpersonal skills and is equal parts landscaper, operations guru and businessperson.
Responsibilities:
OPERATIONAL
o Lead daily quality discussions with crews
o Inspect jobsites for quality and make necessary corrections
o Attend site audits with Executive Management, as requested
o Train crews on horticultural practices, mow maps, sequencing and efficiency
o Support crews through training and performing work onsite or assuming the role of Crew Leader, as needed
Ticket Management
o Review time entries, approving or adjusting the time and employee assignment of all tickets o Allocate materials to your properties / jobs, with assistance from company Controller
o Close out completed tickets
Work Order Management
o Plan and schedule all Work Orders on your properties
o Order materials for all Work Orders on your properties, coordinating as necessary
o Supervise installation of all Work Orders on your properties
o Coordinate all the above, as necessary, with the Vice President and your fellow Account Managers
Assist in maintaining a clean, safe and organized yard, fleet, shop and office
Assist in overseeing preventative maintenance performed by your crews
Interview, hire, train, discipline and terminate members of your crews
Train and promote crews on safe work practices and provide a safe work environment
Lead weekly meetings with your Crew Leaders
Be a proficient daily user of Aspire Landscape Management Software ('Aspire'), and ensure your
Crew Leaders have a basic level of proficiency with Aspire as well
Assist in leading opening and closing for your location, according to published schedule
COMMERCIAL
o Frequently interact with clients, including relationship-building activities as well as detailed discussions regarding planning, proposals, job status, budgets, schedule changes, service notifications, etc.
o Prepare for and lead onsite and offsite meetings with property managers, owners and Board of Directors
o Create detailed enhancement proposals to improve the aesthetics, safety and functionality of the properties we maintain, through improvements large and small
o Create quarterly property reports in PowerPoint with data generated from Aspire, for delivery to the client
Seek New Contract Opportunities
o Pursue new contract opportunities with existing clients as well as potential new clients o Engage with industry organizations / associations as appropriate
Become a proficient daily user of Aspire
Qualifications:
Commercial landscape maintenance experience
Knowledgeable about local plants
General understanding of irrigation systems
Superb organizational and time-management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite of products
Team player, personable, positive attitude, driven
Spanish language ability
