Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities

• Responsible for managing account payable tasks and operational expenses including analyzing accounting and finance information for the production of expense reports, statements, schedules, filings and other financial reports.

• Manages development, presentment, loading and review of financial budgets working in cooperation with organizational leaders.

• Responsible for reviewing and analyzing monthly expense closing reports to identify variances, trends, and provide feedback to leadership as needed.

• Manages general & administrative expense reporting, balance sheet reconciliations and other expense inquiries from internal and external sources.

• Ensures general ledger for expenses are maintain, complete and accurate.

• Ensure budgets and financial processes align with company goals.

• Ability to explain complex financial data clearly.

• Responsible for managing complex activities associated with maintaining & developing reports related to expenses and financial statements.

• Manages the performance, development and coaching of staff (i.e., hiring, firing, performance management, salary increases, etc.). Provides training to new members of the team / unit.

• Establishes and maintains internal control systems and standard operating procedures to ensure adequate control, safeguarding of company assets, and compliance with laws.

• Ensure financial decisions and records adhere to legal regulations.

• Performs other duties as assigned as requested by management.

Education: Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance or equivalent experience.

• Can perform work under limited supervision and demonstrates technical knowledge with a variety of the field’s concepts.

• Exceptional analytical skills and financial skills.

• Working knowledge of business and financial data software.

• Effective people skills with the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

• Advanced sense of responsibility.

• Ability to meet deadlines.

• Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals.

• Exceptional working knowledge of Excel.

• EAS GL experience preferred.
