The role: the Investment Operations Associate will sit at Continental General’s corporate headquarters in Austin, Texas, will report directly to our Director of Investment Operations, and will work closely with all members of the Investments team and with the Investment Accounting team. Our hybrid work environment allows for a combination of in-office and remote work.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

• Manage and improve asset management systems and processes.

• Onboard and maintain operational relationships with trading counterparties, settlement venues, and data vendors.

• Oversee and ensure timely settlement of all trades.

• Maintain integrity of IBOR and verify reconciliation to ABOR and custodians.

• Monitor portfolio for credit events, corporate actions, and risk parameters.

• Produce and develop reports for the investment team, management, and regulators.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience. Progress towards CPA or CFA is a plus

Experience: 1-5 years of experience working in Investment Operations, Accounting, or Reporting.

Skills:

• Experience with an OMS and with position and cash reconciliation.
• Excellent Excel skills, including the ability to write VBA code in an Excel environment.
• Knowledge of SQL and other programming skills is a plus.
• Able to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Efficient worker with attention to detail.
• Exercise sound judgement given incomplete information.
• Proficiency with Bloomberg Terminal and Excel API.
