Position: Sales and Marketing Operations Associate, Part Time or Intern

Location: Austin, TX

Compensation: Competitive, based on experience

Your role as a Sales and Marketing Operations Associate will be pivotal in supporting both sales and marketing initiatives within our dynamic team. You will play a crucial role in optimizing our processes and systems to drive efficiency and effectiveness across the sales and marketing functions. You'll collaborate closely with both the marketing and the sales teams to ensure seamless alignment between marketing efforts, sales strategies and data management between them.

You will work closely with our Marketing Manager who specializes in content marketing, brand voice, design, SEO, and analytics to assist in releasing content that meets the high standards of our leads, customers, and our executive team. You will also work alongside our sales team, assisting them with data management within our CRM and other data platforms. This position reports directly to the Marketing Manager.

Your Contributions and Responsibilities

Marketing Operations:

• Assist in the development and execution of marketing campaigns to generate leads and enhance brand visibility
• Coordinate with the Marketing Manager to ensure timely scheduling/delivery and optimization of marketing materials across various channels including blogs, email campaigns, social media, client texts, sales materials, webinars, and event presentations
• Optimize website content for SEO with keywords to improve organic rankings
• Ensure accuracy and maintain consistent editorial standards and guidelines
• Assist the Marketing Manager in content analytics to understand trends for future content strategy
• Utilize task management software (e.g., Asana) to organize and track marketing and sales tasks, ensuring timely completion and coordination with team members
• Participate in training on Google Digital Garage and HubSpot Academy for professional growth and to understanding the latest marketing trends

Sales Operations:

• Assist in managing sales databases and CRM systems to ensure accurate and up-to-date customer information
• Support the sales team by assisting in the creation and maintenance of sales collateral, including presentations, proposals, and sales materials

Key Requirements

• Previous experience in marketing operations or related fields preferred
• Pursuing a Bachelor’s in Business, Marketing, English, or Political Science preferred
• Experience in the world of politics to understand customer needs and how they change at different levels of office and within/between election cycles preferred
• Familiarity with marketing automation tools (e.g., HubSpot), CMS platforms (e.g., Hubspot and Squarespace), and project management software (e.g., Asana) preferred
• Proactive mindset with a willingness to adapt to changing trends and technologies
• Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail
• Entrepreneurial spirit and high sense of urgency to prioritize tasks effectively
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and take initiative in problem-solving.
• Able to furnish professional and personal references upon request
