Job Description
The Account Manager will play a key role on the sales team, focused on supporting their Account Executive while maintaining their own pre-established accounts. They will serve as crucial support for the primary acquisition arm of the company, responsible for setting appointments, managing schedules, attending networking events, and doing presentations. Success in this role will require strong interpersonal relationship skills, public speaking skills, and great phone etiquette. Active listening, empathy, strong verbal and written communication skills will be a must. The Account Manager will be the first point of contact for all new prospects and will play a crucial role in driving new business.
Each week the Account Manager will make a number of cold calls, emails, texts, social media messages, etc. to set up appointments for their Account Executive to attend. They will be responsible for driving the growth of business in conjunction with their team for both new and established contacts. Account Managers will have weekly goals to reach set forward by the company. This position has an evolving territory that changes on a regular basis depending on where, geographically, the business sees the greatest area of opportunity.
