Very Good Ventures is Hiring a Remote Senior Business Development Executive (US)

Role Description

As a Senior Business Development Executive at Very Good Ventures, you will be responsible for leveraging and building your network to drive both relationships and revenue that win high-quality consulting engagements that enable VGV's growth and expand our portfolio of marketable work. You will leverage your strong network, sales experience, and social selling skills to build and nurture relationships with target customers, identify opportunities, and lead the sales process end-to-end.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage and nurture current relationships and build and nurture new relationships with our target buyer to identify opportunities for VGV to engage in high-margin, high-quality consulting engagements.
  • Lead the sales process, coordinating both internal and client teams to facilitate a decision to engage VGV.
  • Generate a minimum of 20 reachouts a week.
  • Own and be responsible for your own sales pipeline end-to-end.
  • Become a subject matter expert on VGV's offerings and be able to communicate their value proposition effectively.
  • Keep up-to-date notes in our CRM on discovery such that other parts of the business can quickly get up to speed during handoffs or technical discovery discussions.
  • Stay on top of industry trends and standards to better understand and connect with clients.

Requirements

  • Strong network (LinkedIn Friends), social selling skills, and sales experience.
  • Contract and service negotiation, computer literacy, and CRM competency.
  • Ability to create a story through Google Slides.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Very relationship-oriented, with strong storytelling and listening ability.
  • Ability to stay in tune with the important conversations and topics happening within your target accounts.
  • 7 years of experience in relationship based sales or business development roles.
  • Ability to understand client responsibilities at a technical level and condense these down to important key points.
  • Experience working in a CRM and maintaining good documentation.
  • Experience working closely with internal technical teams to understand and scope projects.
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to estimate deal sizes.
  • Looking for hungry, motivated individuals who can operate autonomously and within a team-based pursuit environment.
