Senior IT Support Specialist

GENERAL FUNCTION: This position serves as the on-site technology support resource for attorneys and staff within a designated office location in Chicago. As the resident technology expert, the role entails troubleshooting and resolving hardware, software, and peripheral issues reported by personnel at the assigned office. Operating as a local liaison for the national IT department, the ideal candidate excels in a dynamic, expanding environment and delivers top-tier, personalized services while managing multiple priorities. Experience supporting C-suite executives or executives is preferred.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Execute standard operating procedures for imaging and deploying computer equipment during new hire onboarding.
• Manage equipment collection and asset tracking from departed end users according to established protocols.
• Provide technical support for video conferencing and associated A/V systems on-site.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot software, including document management systems.
• Coordinate user requirements with regional supervisors, management, and other IT teams.
• Foster service-based relationships with attorneys and staff, leveraging exceptional customer service skills.
• Collaborate with team members on tasks or requests in an efficient and expeditious manner.
• Evaluate and record tickets for ongoing requests for new hardware, software installations, and incidents reported by end users within the assigned office.
• Adhere to organizational change management processes.
• Perform special duties, tasks, or projects as required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

• Thorough understanding of PC hardware and software.
• Prior experience in law firms is advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Self-starter with the ability to manage time effectively and work autonomously.
• Ability to lift and move items up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to travel, if needed.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• Certifications in CompTIA A , CompTIA Network , or MCDST, HDI Support Center Analyst, or ITIL preferred but not required.
