JOB SUMMARY:

Contribute to a customer service-driven banquet operation. Personally perform, as well as supervise the activities of Banquet Housepersons in arranging meeting rooms for banquet events. Lead, motivate and inspire Banquet Servers/Bartenders to deliver consistently high quality banquet service. Drive continuous improvement in service quality by defining and improving processes, developing staff and encouraging communication.

REQUIREMENTS & QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma
Illinois Food Sanitation License
Illinois Allergen Awareness Certification
Illinois BASSET Certification
Knowledge of hospital industry, with preference given to lodge/hotel and banquet operations.
Hands-on knowledge of the legal requirements for banquet operations, including human resources management and safety.
Demonstrated success in building strong teams and motivating staff performance.
Strong customer service and interpersonal communication skills.
Demonstrated high level of organization and time management.
At least two years of experience in a supervisory role.
Demonstrated success at managing people and delegating responsibility.
Must be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
Must be able to lift up to 80 lbs. on a regular basis.
Must be willing to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as needed.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
