Job Description:

Under general supervision will provide all aspects of secretarial/administrative support to the Cardiology Division. Maintains calendar for departmental faculty, coordinates schedules, travel arrangements, meetings, and conferences. Works directly with the Division Chief to make certain that the Division operations are running smoothly

Minimum Qualifications:

High School Diploma or Equivalent
Minimum of two-year experience in a medical office setting
Medical terminology experience
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Excellent interpersonal skills so as to work appropriately with physician, nurses, administration and ancillary personnel
Masterly of accepted general office practices and knowledge of protocols unique to the division
Ability to multi-task
Ability to prepare research grant applications, abstracts and manuscripts
Knowledgeable in Word, Excel, Power Point, and Access
Advanced knowledge of Outlook; proficient in medical transcription
