This part-time Administrative Coordinator provides a high level of professional administrative coordination and support to the faculty and residents within several Ryan Hospital services. This support includes supply orders (BEN), shipping, travel and reimbursement (Concur), and support of student clinical rotations and upkeep of the course pages (Canvas) and submitting grades (Course @ Penn).
Job Description
The part-time Administrative Coordinator provides a high level of professional administrative coordination and support to the faculty, interns, residents, nurses, and staff within the Dermatology, Exotics, Medical Genetics, and Neurology services. This support includes supply orders (BEN), shipping, travel and reimbursement (Concur), and support of student clinical rotations and upkeep of the course pages (Canvas) and submitting grades (Course @ Penn). In addition, this role will support the supply room located in Ryan Room 2038, ensuring that everyday office supplies are available for all services in the hospital. This position must have the ability to work independently while functioning as part of a team, taking an active interest in the success of all projects, and staying engaged. Superior customer service skills and initiative are needed, with the ability to interact professionally with school/center faculty, residents, students, and vendors. This position works in conjunction with other Administrative Coordinators and supports staff within the CSAM/Ryan department. May be asked to provide backup support to other areas.
Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent and 5-7 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. College degree is preferred but not required. 3-5 years of progressively responsible experience in office administration and support. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; excellent interpersonal and organizational skills. Ability to work independently and as an integral team member. Must have strong customer service skills and the ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds. Must have excellent MS office skills.
The hours for this position preferably will be Monday to Friday for 4 hours per day 10 am – 2 pm. However, there can be some flexibility, if needed.
