Job Summary
UCSF's Facilities is seeking for a Program Manager that will provide overall life-cycle stewardship for the UCSF campus-built environment through asset management. This includes overseeing and strategizing all UCSF campus Renewal Programs including the Facility Investment Needs (FIN), Building Renewal, and ICAMP programs. FIN Program Management includes overseeing the annual development and prioritization of the UCSF campus Facility Investment Needs (FIN) project list and ongoing implementation coordination with Capital Programs and other UCSF departments. Will be responsible for FIN budget oversight and approval including emergency allocations for active failures. Also, is responsible for the project management and coordination, in support of the Intergraded Capital Asset Management Program's (ICAMP) objective to inventory and assess all UC owned real property assets at UCSF, using trained inspection personnel. Will act as the liaison for the campus, working with each assessment inspector, facilities stakeholders, and the UC Office of the President Strategic Asset Management team. Will help coordinate, schedule, and oversee all aspects of the inventory of completed projects. Will manage the project turnover process. Building Renewal Program Management includes oversight and coordination with Renewal Program Manager of the renewal process for individual buildings from identification of scope and funding through design, bid, construction and turn-over. FIN and Renewal will work together to best manage the asset life cycle.

The Facilities Services Department (FS) is committed to creating an exceptional campus physical environment to support the research, teaching, health care and community service mission of the University. FS employs over 465 professional staff/contractors and acts as steward for over $95 million in operating funds and $28 million in capital funds annually to achieve its goals in operating, maintaining, and renewing the UCSF campus environment consisting of 9 million GSF of research, clinical, administrative, and auxiliary services space. Located in the Campus Life Services organization, FS is organized into 5 distinct units: (1) Operations & Maintenance, including Custodial Services (380 FTE), (2) Engineering & Utilities (45 FTE), (3) Infrastructure & Renewal Programs (20 FTE), (4) Customer Service & Technology (15 FTE), and (5) the Office of the Assistance Vice Chancellor (7 FTE).FS participates in system-wide Principles of Community and all FS leaders are expected to create a fair, equitable, safe, and supportive work environment, where everyone can do their best work.
