Position Summary

We are looking for a project manager to come work for us. Bali Construction is a rapidly growing commercial general contracting firm in the San Francisco Bay Area. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable experience with all facets of the general contractor world. Project Managers have responsibilities consistent with tasks generally assigned by Kevin, the Owner of the company. The Company may change your responsibilities, duties, work location, or other aspects of your employment from time to time, at its discretion. As a Project Manager, you will be expected to manage your assigned job duties in order to contribute to the economic and professional success of the Company and its members.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Estimate a wide range of projects ranging from high end residential improvements to ground up commercial construction
  • Develop detailed means and methods estimates; Obtain pricing for subcontractor bids
  • Outsource subcontractor services and material purchases competitively
  • Manage project teams
  • Communicate with owners, architects, subcontractors and management team and ensure client satisfaction
  • Lead kick-off meetings and team planning sessions
  • Provide pre-construction services including: Reviewing proposed designs for constructibility, value-engineering, contract negotiations, estimating
  • Procure all materials, labor, and equipment necessary to complete construction or coordinate procurement through foreman/superintendent
  • Create, update, and enforce project schedules
  • Manage project records and documents
  • Manage project cost, change orders, building permits, submittals and all other necessary project documents
  • Physically inspect projects to monitor progress and compliance with project standards
  • Create solutions when presented with challenges
  • Ability to learn from and help others learn from you
  • Provide innovative ideas to allow business functions to operate more effectively and efficiently

Skills, Knowledge and Experience Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Construction Management or Architecture
  • Strong verbal, written, leadership and interpersonal skills
  • Competent and proficient in (Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Project)
