- Support the accuracy and efficiency of the accounts payable functions by processing requests for payment (invoices with and without PO’s and check requests), processing disbursements, scanning and indexing AP documentation, reviewing vendor statements, and vendor/supplier maintenance
- Communicate and follow-up with internal and external customers/vendors while maintaining a high level of customer service
- Enforce company and department policies in accordance with corporate governance and commitment authority guidelines, facilities compliance while remaining customer centric.
- Assist with monthly reconciliations of accounts payable as well as month end reporting
- Self-motivated with the ability to complete multiple tasks with minimal supervision
- Commitment to excellence in accounts payable and customer service
- Excellent negotiating skills with sensitivity to public relations
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High attention to detail; able to methodically review the execution of procedures and identify issues
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are required, as well as the ability to utilize appropriate analysis, judgment, and logic.
- Ability to work in a team setting and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Strong Excel and Microsoft 365 Office skills
- Experience in Accounting (Accounts Receivable or Accounts Payable) or Customer Service is required.
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required; Associate degree or combination of education and equivalent experience is preferred but not required.
