Our client, a leading construction firm dedicated to delivering high-quality projects and exceptional customer satisfaction, seeks a dynamic and experienced Sales Representative to join their team in Brooklyn, NY. As an Outside Sales Representative, you will be crucial in driving business growth by identifying and securing new clients. Your primary focus will be on cultivating relationships, understanding client needs, and effectively communicating the value proposition of our services. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales, a background in construction, and the ability to charm and influence potential clients. Our client is looking for someone who has the initiative to plan out their client meetings strategically. Sales can occur anywhere in the 5 boroughs, with 3 client meetings daily. Make the best use of time and travel to ensure client meetings happen efficiently.
This is a great opportunity to join a stable construction firm and take on the sales for the company. Once proving your success in the company, this role is on track for promotion to hire/ run the entire sales team.
Business Development Manager – Construction Industry Responsibilities
• Identify and target potential clients within the five boroughs
• Follow up on every lead given
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key decision-makers
• Actively listen to potential clients to ensure correct estimation
• Pass lead to the estimation team once a relationship is established with client
• Negotiate with client when resenting job bids
• Meet and exceed monthly sales goals and quarterly targets
• Engage clients in relationship-building activities such as networking events, dinners, fundraisers
• Maintain updated records on all client activity in the CRM
• Follow through entire sales cycle with client (up to 3 months) and ensure satisfactory completion
• Maintain client relationships to produce repeat business
Business Development Manager – Construction Industry Qualifications
• 3 years of sales experience with a proven track record required
• 1 years of construction industry experience required
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office required
• Ability to travel around the 5 boroughs required
