Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Medical Office Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience as a medical receptionist and possess strong organizational and communication skills. As a Medical Office Assistant, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our medical office.
Responsibilities:
- Greet patients and visitors in a professional and friendly manner
- Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and manage patient inquiries
- Verify patient information, including details, accurately and efficiently
- Maintain patient records and update medical charts using electronic systems such as Dentrix or eClinicalWorks
- Assist with medical scheduling and coordinate appointments with healthcare providers
- Handle billing and insurance claims processing, ensuring compliance with HIPAA regulations
- Manage front desk operations, including checking patients in and out, collecting payments, and maintaining a clean reception area
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure efficient patient flow and provide necessary support
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as a medical receptionist or dental receptionist is preferred
- Proficiency in using electronic medical record systems such as Dentrix or eClinicalWorks
- Strong knowledge of medical office procedures and terminology
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and accuracy in maintaining patient records
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
