Memorial Chiropractic Clinic is Hiring a Medical Office Assistant Near Houston, TX

Overview and Purpose:

Chiropractic assistants provide support to Chiropractors pursuing their activities in private medical offices. They are responsible for administrative tasks , such as taking phone calls, billing, greeting patients, assisting in implementing rehab therapies for patients, handling files and maintaining inventories. Successful Chiropractic Assistants display outstanding interpersonal skills and keen attention to details, while maintaining an efficient, organized, and pleasant work environment in a busy chiropractic office.

Duties:

  • Verifies patient insurance information.
  • Prepares patients for consultations, examinations, and adjustments
  • Helping with office procedures such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, and filing.
  • Secures patient information and maintains patient confidence by completing and safeguarding medical records; completing diagnostic coding and procedure coding; keeping patient information confidential.
  • Schedules appointments for patients; preparing charts and consent forms.
  • Maintains safe, secure, and healthy work environment by establishing and following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations.
  • Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
  • Willing to update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications.
  • Enhances practice reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

Qualifications:

Previous medical office experience is a plus; however, training is available for those without any experience. The ideal candidate should have the following characteristics to succeed: Personable, Caring, Responsible, Focused, Reliable, Timely, Enthusiastic, Communicative, Driven, Organized, Amenable, Professional, Patient-Focused, Proactive, Respectful, Discreet, and have a Teamwork Mentality!

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $10.00 - $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16 – 30 per week
