About the role:

Our menu consists of fresh, healthy bowls and boxes that are packed with flavour and are supremely delicious, every time.

We’re looking for an exceptional Executive Chef to oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations – including food safety, quality, and processes. The role will be based out of our kitchen in our first restaurant on 65 Bleeker Street. As a leader with high integrity, we expect the Executive Chef to motivate the kitchen team to produce ready-to-use products with maximum quality and shelf life, and minimal cost and waste.

Job responsibilities:

Production oversight

• Oversee all production, including recipe development, ingredient preparation, processing, cooking, bagging, sealing, and bottling to ensure consistent quality, food safety, and yield of finished products
• Collaborate with Restaurant Operations to ensure the right amount of ingredients are produced at the right times
• Oversee and enforce all kitchen food safety standards. 

Cost management

• Oversee volume forecasting
• Complete production scheduling and rostering.

Inventory management

• Oversee the inventory management process at all kitchen facilities, to ensure accurate levels of stock and ingredients.

Production innovation

• Work closely with Restaurant Operations to continuously improve the effectiveness of our operations, recipe development, and execution.

Leadership and people management

• Role model and reinforce THISBOWL’s people and culture standards
• Coach and develop your teams in their career development.
