Job Description Position Summary The Salvation Army Northern Division Headquarters (DHQ) is doing the most good by providing support to our worship, housing, and service centers, meeting the needs of local communities, and administering emergency disaster services.
The Administrative Assistant III provides administrative and clerical support to the Divisional Leader of Officer Development (DLOD). The DLOD office provides leadership and guidance to emergency disaster services, youth department, program department, Northwoods Camp, and ministerial personnel. The wage range for this position is from $20.98-$25.76/hour.
Essential Functions (approximate time spent)
•Perform administrative and clerical support tasks for the DLOD. (25%)
•Assist Executive Assistant/Advisory Board Coordinator with meeting minutes as assigned. (25%)
•Assist with coordinating and facilitating meetings, special events, and projects. (20%)
•Serve as a liaison between the DLOD and Salvation Army personnel and volunteers as requested (10%).
•Respond to information requests and direct calls appropriately. (5%)
•Maintain the DLOD's schedule, providing reminders and arranging appointments. (5%)
•Delegate tasks to administrative assistants in assigned departments as needed. (5%)
•Maintain up to date, organized, detailed physical files, digital files, and databases. (5%)
Education and Experience •High School diploma or equivalent required. Two years of college coursework preferred.
•Two years of relevant experience required.
•Must pass background checks, have a valid driver's license, and pass the MVR check.

•Standard business hours with occasional evenings and weekends.
•Must be able to occasionally lift 20 pounds.
Supervisory Responsibilities None.
Driving/Travel Requirements Will occasionally travel locally and within the state.
