We're looking for a Development Manager for ourclient, NEW VOICES for REPRODUCTIVE JUSTICE.This is a full-time, hybrid position located in either Pittsburgh orPhiladelphia, PA.

About NewVoices for Reproductive Justice:

New Voices for Reproductive Justice (New Voices) is a leaderin the Reproductive Justice movement. With nearly two decades of experience inidentity-based and issue-based leadership development, community engagement andorganizing, and state and federal-level policy advocacy, New Voices is thefirst Reproductive Justice organization in Pennsylvania and the first and onlyin Ohio. Their mission is to “advocate for Black Women, femmes, and girls inPennsylvania and Ohio through community organizing, leadership development, andvoter engagement.”

Their work is firmly rooted in the Reproductive Justiceframework, and our programming reflects our mission, focusing on core issues,including voter engagement, abortion access, and environmental justice. 

Position Summary:

The Development Manager is a full-time position reporting to theExternal Affairs Director. The Development Manager fills a critical role ofstrategically managing New Voices’ development and fundraising revenue lines,including individual donors and giving campaigns, managing the organization’sgrant portfolio, and supporting the Director of External Affairs in creatingand implementing annual development plans. 

The Development Manager will also assist with other developmentand communications-related activities required to help the organization meetits revenue goals and access the resources necessary to advance New Voices’mission

Responsibilities:

  • Ensure that all grants are tracked and managed and that allreports and proposals are submitted on time and with excellence.
  • Prospectand build the organization’s pipeline of prospective donors through researchand asset mapping.
  • EnhanceNew Voices’ individual giving strategy and program, and develop annual plansfor engagement in partnership with the communications team.
  • Strategizefor and track “next steps” for individual and institutional donors andprospects in Bloomerang (CRM).
  • Generatedevelopment dashboards in Bloomerang to provide leadership and Board updates.
  • Inpartnership with the communications team, conceptualize and execute fundraisingcorrespondence, engagement, and campaigns.
  • Partnerwith program teams to help plan for and secure event sponsorships and/orpro-bono partnerships.
  • Maintainthe day-to-day operations of the development department, including sending giftacknowledgments, data and gift entries, and managing contract and agreementsignatures.

Requirements

  • Four-year degree is required. An undergraduate degree in arelevant field like Communications, Nonprofit Management, English, or Writingis preferred.
  • Minimumfive (5) to seven (7) years’ experience supporting development operations in anonprofit setting.
  • Previousgrant writing and management experience is required.
  • Strongverbal and written communication skills.
  • Familiarwith using Google Suite in a professional setting.
  • Experienceand familiarity with donor databases - experience with Bloomerang or a CRMrequired.
  • Writingsample is required, preferably a previous grant narrative and/or anorganizational needs statement and organizational overview.
